Here are frequently asked questions about the ReachUC app. For more information, please contact your service provider.

Can I use ReachUC with my PBX?

ReachUC works with UCaaS service providers to ensure that all features work optimally. If your service provider is not yet using ReachUC, ask them to contact us to get Unified Communications done right!

How do I enable SMS for my DID

To enable SMS for a DID send a message to the DID number with the text ‘subscribe’ (without the quotes) in the message body.

  • If you own the DID, then you will immediately be subscribed.
  • If the DID is assigned to a different user (like an auto-attendant or another person), then an activation code will be sent to the email address of the other user.  You must send another message to the DID with the text ‘subscribe [activation code]’

I subscribed to SMS but don’t receive any messages

The SMS subscription process can take up to an hour. If you are still not receiving SMS messages after one hour, do the following:

  1. From any cell phone, send the work ‘ping’ to your DID number.  If your DID was properly subscribed you will receive a response that the message was received.  If you don’t receive a response, please follow the instructions to subscribe.
  2. If you are subscribed but still do not receive SMS messages, try to re-subscribe by send the word ‘unsubscribe’ to your DID.   Afterwards, subscribe again by following the instructions to subscribe

Can I disable the beep that is heard when a call is being recorded?

Yes, this is a configurable option that can be disabled. It can be disabled from Settings->Preferences->Call Recording->Warning Beep
